amazing Naja

This incredibly sweet, gorgeous, ancient breed girl is Naja! She is an extraordinarily rare breed, Armenian Gampr. Their history traces back beyond 12,000BC. Petfinder does not have this breed available for listing, so we are listing by the closest relative of ovcharka, and pyranees as they look similar and have similar temperament. Naja is about 11-18 months and came to us after a person called us in desperation. Naja had been abandoned by her owner in terrible conditions and no one knew anything about the breed or what to do. When research was done, local folks found our group and reached out for help. Fortunately an amazing foster home was available to take this unbelievably wonderful girl in until she finds the home of her dreams. Since coming into rescue, this incredible girl has had all of her medical work completed. Shes just an adolescent and is the biggest doll around. She is underweight due to under feeding, and is gaining and will fill out and mature to be an extra large marshmallow of a pup! She is fully vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, on preventative, dewormed, microchipped and spayed. She is officially ready to go! In her foster home this girl has been incredible. She has the sweetest, almost childlike personality. Her crummy owners hadn’t shown her the world and she is just loving this new life. She is obsessed with stuffed animals and loves to nuzzle them and carry them around. She has been so wonderful with our volunteers and everyone she’s met so far, and is over the moon happy to be able to snuggle on the sofa and in bed with loving humans, and finally feeling warm, safe, and well fed. She’s been excellent with other dogs and always had another dog in her life, never having lived as an only dog. She would probably be happiest with another loving big baby in the house to be a companion to her. She’s been amazing with cats and farm animals. She has a big cozy bed and she keeps her “babies” in it and covers them with her soft pink blanket, checking on them throughout the day. She is excellent inside the house and out. She reliably goes potty outside and will go both on and off leash. She is exceptionally large, strong and powerful. She has the heart of a lamb, and is such a sweet soul. Nonetheless, due to her size and strength, will need to go to a confident owner who is happy to have a huge guardian breed baby girl. She would absolutely love a home where she will have a big yard or some land. She loves to roll in the grass, and watch over the yard on the deck. She enjoys her time lazing outside very much, but also is so thrilled and grateful to be a well loved indoor companion. Her temperament is amazing and we can’t wait to see her in a peaceful forever home with doting parents who will cherish what an incredible girl she is always.
