Amélie - adopted!!

UPDATE: Amélie is blossoming into a beautiful girl! Her hair is growing back in nicely, and she is getting her girlish figure back again! Amélie absolutely charms everyone that she sees - she is just as sweet and adorable as can be! BACKGROUND: This poor little girl came to us from a local shelter, where she was dumped into an outdoor yard after closing time, along with a large dog. Thank goodness that the big dog didn't harm Amélie because both were left to fend for themselves overnight and into the hot summer heat of the next day. One of the shelter workers noticed the two dogs after the shelter opened, and got them inside into the air-conditioned facility. Amélie was in pretty bad shape when we picked her up. She appears to have been bred over and over and over again, to the point that all of her body is sagging from the weight of many multiple births. However, she appears to be only about 3 years old, and she is just as sweet as can be. Everyone who sees her says how beautiful she is (despite her physical condition) - her beauty just shines through! Amélie is under our vet's care to get her skin and body back into good shape, and she is also on an enriched diet. At the time that we picked up Amélie, she had major hair loss over 75% of her body.
