Id# 55274030. ALVIN HAS MOVED TO A FOSTER HOME AND IS SETTLING IN! Please email [email protected] for more details!!!! Alvin is an approximately 3 year old brindle beauty! Alvin came to us a bit underweight, but no worries, he loves a yummy treat and sits nicely for them, AND is putting on a few healthy pounds in his foster home. His foster Mom states that this boy is a velcro type dog. He really likes to be near his person which is so very sweet but he needs to learn to be a bit more confident and know that it is ok to not have to follow his human best friend everywhere. Basic obedience classes will surely help him and in his foster home he is working on cool commands such as “wait “ and “place” which are important tools moving forward. He appears to be a sensitive lad. He also has a lovely temperament and enjoys meeting new people. He has shown he is housebroken but an adjustment period is always needed in a new home with a different routine and schedule. Alvin has done well in his crate, and enjoys a good ole peanut butter stuffed bone. Continued crate training will also help him learn it’s ok to be alone and that he has a safe place. Alvin did pass his dog/dog assessment at the shelter and seems to prefer low-key females. A meet and greet is always needed with a redirect pooch in a home.
