Alphie

Alphie was saved from a local animal shelter. He is a Briard mix who is about 9 months to a year old. Alphie loves to play with other animals. He is a 35 pound ball of energy. Poor Alphie was found as a stray by an animal control officer running in the street. He was brought to the shelter. He had a tag and microchip. His previous family was called and they didn't respond thus a letter was sent to them and they finally came to the shelter. The staff was hopeful that they were there to reclaim Alphie, but sadly they were not. They relinquished custody of Alphie to the shelter. He then went up for adoption. This is when we stepped up and adopted him. The shelter did ask the reason they decided to not welcome Alphie back into the family and their response was that he lived in the back yard as dogs are not allowed in the house and he continued to escape from the yard. They have had him since he was a small pup. Okay, so we have a dog that was a pup, living in a yard ALONE, NEVER being allowed in the house, sleeping outside ALONE....POOR ALPHIE!!!! Well, now he is safe and WILL be allowed in the house and WILL know nothing but LOVE for the rest of his life.
