**Meet Almonaster!** Almonaster, affectionately known as Al, has a story that's both heart-wrenching and heartwarming. Found as a stray alongside his deceased sister, you’d never guess his tough beginnings from his sunny disposition. Al is a true lovebug who thrives on affection and snuggles. He’s like a living teddy bear with a tail! This charming boy weighs 44 pounds and is just about 1 yr old—basically a big puppy at heart! Neutered, up-to-date on all his vaccines and pretty much zero shedding, Al is ready to be your loyal sidekick. His kindness knows no bounds; he adores humans of all ages and gets along famously with children. He’s also a hit at doggie meet-and-greets, playing nicely with his canine pals. Al’s playful but not overwhelming, making him the perfect balance of fun and chill. He’s got that unique ability to turn any frown upside down with his goofy antics and endless charm. Whether he’s chasing his tail, rolling around in the grass, or giving you those big puppy-dog eyes for extra treats, Al is always up to something endearing. The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. An inquiry, question, or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue). The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Please see our website for more information. 2022 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals: Puppies under 12 months - $350 Dogs over 12 months - $250 *Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!
