My Story

Introducing Alma, a lovely female Lab Mix with a heart of gold. At 2 years old and weighing 38 lbs, Alma has a gentle and affectionate nature that makes her a delightful companion. Alma has overcome challenges in her past, including an old leg injury that she manages with grace. Despite this, she remains sweet, loving, and holds no preferences based on gender, showing affection towards everyone she meets. While she doesn't have a favorite toy, Alma enjoys chewing on beefhide and pig ears. She walks well on a leash and gets along wonderfully with other dogs, displaying no signs of aggression towards humans or animals. Her interactions with children have been positive, and she is potty trained, waiting patiently to be let outside. Alma travels well in cars and is treat motivated, showing her willingness to learn and please. She has had human food and enjoys it but can jump up to get into things despite having one bad leg. Alma is a gentle player, preferring human interactions and moderate play. Her energy level is medium, and while she can jump a 5-foot fence out of curiosity, she doesn't run away and prefers to be in her home enclosure. Alma would make an excellent pet for an older person or family looking for a loving companion. Her only potential issue is her fence-jumping curiosity, but with proper supervision and care, she will thrive in a home that provides her with the love and attention she deserves. Alma currently located in La Paz, Mexico at our shelter and is hanging out in the sun and with their doggie friends all day long.
