We'll never understand how a dog like Allie winds up as a stray at a shelter and then her "family" doesn't reclaim her. At the shelter she quickly became a volunteer favorite, but like all dogs at shelters now, she was immediately at risk solely due to space needs at the shelter. When we heard about Allie we couldn't say "no" and with the help of a foster, we were able to rescue her. Allie is now safe with us, rocking her foster home and looking for a Forever home. Allie is a 75 pound 8 year old female lab that is housebroken, walks well on a leash, knows some basic commands, has a calm gentle nature and loves all people and dogs.
