Hi my name is Allie and I am a 17 week old Golden Retriever mix. I am somewhat shy but learning to accept the kind touch of a human since I did not have a lot of interaction with them when I was younger. You see, my brother and sisters were all kept in a kennel on a concrete floor. We were taken to a high kill shelter and relinquished by our previous owner who pulled up in a truck and just handed us over. I'm not sure what we had done wrong but it must of been bad because this shelter has a high euthanasia rate. We were one of the lucky ones because our stay in the shelter was not very long before a S.A.F.E. Animal Haven volunteer came and scooped us up. We were quickly transported to a home where we received food, a bath and a lot of love. We were taken outside to potty but when placed on the grass, we did not move. What was this stuff? We had never been in grass our whole lives. Soon we figured out that this was cool because you could eat it, dig in it, roll in it, chase bugs and potty without having to step in it. We each were taken into foster homes where we sleep inside, play with our foster siblings, and just enjoy being a pup. I am searching for my forever home so if you would be interested in helping me learn about my world outside of a concrete prison, I will repay you with wags, kisses and laughter!
