My Story

A SWEET & FRIENDLY GAL: Approx. 10 years old / Approx. 28 lbs. and needs to lose weight Hi, my name’s Alice! I found myself at animal control, and thankfully Mostly Mutts saw me and knew I needed to come with them! They rescued me, and now I am getting lots of good care and attention from the loving volunteers while I wait to meet my new family. You can tell I’m excited to do that by my cute smile! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I’ve met dogs at Mostly Mutts and did not like them, so I’ll want to be your only dog. / Cats unknown, but I guard my toys and don’t like dogs, so I’m thinking I may not like cats. I will need to be cat tested if you have a kitty. / I saw a fish tank in the office at Mostly Mutts and reacted negatively to it. I should not live with fish. / I recently met a nice boy and girl at Mostly Mutts and liked them. I think older kids such as 10+ may be best since I guard my toys. Let’s meet! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: The volunteers describe me as ‘a super sweet, tail-wagging, friendly girl’, and I bet you will agree when you meet me. My wonderful nature and sweet spirit are sure to make you smile. / My energy level is 5 - 7. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I’m a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I’m learning lots of great doggie commands with my trainer. So far, I know the ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘stay’, ‘come’, and ‘place’ commands. I also greet friendly strangers without jumping up on them and utilize proper door etiquette. I look forward to learning even more! I also have guarding behaviors related to my toys, so my trainer is working with me on this, and Mostly Mutts is happy to help you too. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / My potty habits are good on the shelter schedule, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home, too! • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love spending time with the nice volunteers. I’m easy to leash up, then I’m ready for a nice shorter walk with you which will help with my weight loss and previously broken leg. I also like car rides so let’s go to Home Depot or on a picnic. I don’t mind new places and quite like exploring them! I absolutely love toys as mentioned above. / Other than the above-mentioned things, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, good care and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I need to continue losing weight so part of my meals are green beans to encourage this. You’ll likely notice a limp at times as I have an old break in my right rear leg that wasn’t treated properly, so it healed the best it could. The weight loss will help lighten the load on that leg. I’m on an over-the-counter joint supplement to help my joints feel their best. I've got some old lady lumps and bumps that don't bother me, and I hope you won't mind either. I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future. I am looking for a family who is ready to share a loving home with a sweet, senior girl and is committed to continuing my weight loss. My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
