My Story

WE HAVE AN ADOPTION PENDING!!!! You would not know it by looking at her pictures, but Alice is vision impaired and almost completely blind. We do believe she has some peripheral vision in the right eye but it's very slight. She is about 3 years old and our vet believes her blindness and lack of coordination is neurological and caused perhaps by a virus she had when she was a puppy (possibly distemper) Weighing in at about 3 pounds, little Alice needs a special home where she can be safe from falling down any stairs or being stepped on by children or larger dogs. She is currently in a foster home with a mini poodle and does do well with the companionship of another dog however, it is not mandatory for adoption. She can follow your voice and is getting used to being picked up and held safely in one's arm as she tends to panic when picked up. Right now, the foster mom has her in an X-pen when she is not home to keep Alice safe. When she is home she has learned to navigate her apartment without too much trouble and learns quickly. She is a quiet little dog who has been professionally groomed and needs a very special home. If you are interested in knowing more about little tiny Alice, please contact Speaking of Dogs Rescue
