Meet Ali! She is one of 9 cattle dog puppies. Her mom was a blue heeler and her dad a red heeler. Mom and dad were strays in South Texas when a Good Samaritan reached out to our rescue for help. Mom and dad had been strays for over a year and the female was pregnant. A life as a stray, fighting each day to survive, is no life for new born puppies. They deserved better. So our rescue swooped in and traveled a long way to pick up mom, dad, and 9 new born puppies. Ali is a brave and playful puppy who is athletic and friendly and great with other dogs and people. She is loving and loyal. This breed is not for the weak of heart. Cattle dog experience or education is a requirement to adopt one of these puppies. Cattle dogs have instincts to herd and nip anything they can find, whether it be other dogs, animals, toys, or even children. For this reason, a household with older children is recommended, who can understand the difference between nipping and biting. This is a very active breed who require stimulation to prevent them from being destructive. She would love an active family who is engaged in training to help her be successful in life. This breed makes for a great hiking or adventure partner, wanting to do just about anything and everything with you.
