Alfie

Alfie is a loving, playful, cuddly 2 year old boy who loves affection and gives it right back! He is fearful of other animals, dogs and cats. He can not be in a home with another pet. He is also not a good fit for a family with children. He would be amazing for a couple who knows they want to be childless, or a single adult who lives a more lowkey lifestyle without many people in and out of their home or apartment. Someone looking for a true companion and family in this little ratty boy. He was rescued from wayside and we were instructed he was probably fighting for food against other animals in his first home which is why he is fearful of animals. We knew he would not be a family dog wayside warned us of this. He made progress with us with training for his fear of strangers and home discipline. When my husband and I lived in an apartment and he was our only baby, going out on walks, watching tv, cuddles and playing with us two- we did not have any issues. We didn’t have people over often and we weren’t bringing him out socially except for parks to walk and kept him close, The lifestyle was perfect for Alfie.   He enjoys having a small yard or adequate outside time, he uses the restroom 3 times daily, and stays crated with no issues for 5-6 hours when we leave the house. If I am home he is typically laying on the couch when we are working. He is house trained but will mark if you do not take him out, he lets you know by sitting at a door or barking he needs to go. He eats kibble and loves treats but doesn’t play with many chew toys! He would rather play fetch with his lamb or soft toy. He does get bored so toys are a must and enrichment
