Alexis

Alexis is sweet girl who is more reserved although she does enjoy snuggles with people that she knows She was living in a home with other animals. Alexis can't waiting find a loving home that wants her to be a part of their lives. She is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. She recently had a break from the shelter on a Dog Day Out: "I noticed she was shy in the shelter, and we have lots of friends that were more than willing to be patient and meet her. Since it was raining, we just stayed in and snuggled with her! She was definitely very shy, but warmed up to our friends very quickly and accepted pets and scratches galore! She's not super interested in treats, but she'll accept attention instead! I had previously sat down with Alexis, so she was comfortable enough that she stayed within my lap for much of our outing. Once it stopped raining, we took her for a quick lap around the area- her ears perked up (she has the CUTEST and SOFTEST little ears) and her tail was much more relaxed and confident." Another afternoon, she got to spend outside of the shelter with a volunteer: "Alexis is a little shy at first, but she opens up almost immediately! We went on a longer car ride, and she loved it. It was a hotter day, and she is definitely a fan of the a/c! Because it was such a hot afternoon, we decided to relax and watch a movie. She got all wiggly and excited with all the affection and cuddles she was receiving! She was a little hesitant to accept any food I offered her, but eventually she realized how yummy a pup cup is! She also did very good on the leash and appeared to be potty trained. She is just a love bug!" Her ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED! We want all our dogs to have homes as quickly as possible. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays, those who are deteriorating in the shelter environment, or who are harder to place find homes more quickly, the adoption fee for this dog has been waived.
