Alexia is a female Rat Terrier/Lab mix who is estimated at 9 mths of age. Alexia was picked up at a local convenience store in KY by one of the shelter employees after she was seen hanging out there for a couple of days. As the area was a very high traffic area, and she was afraid something would happen to her, she was brought into the shelter for safekeeping. Though these pics make Alexia look bigger than she is, Alexia only weighs a mere 18 lbs. She is small enough to be kept in the shelter puppy room in one of the puppy cages. Alexia is a super sweet girl and very friendly, even after what she has been through. Without a doubt, Alexia was dumped at the convenience store because her owners thought she would get a home there. What she almost got was ran over by one of the many Semi tractor trailers that frequents this establishment. Alexia is now safe at the shelter but the shelter is very crowded and she needs a home ASAP! Alexia is starting to feel a little penned up and needs a home where she can runand play at ease.
