This is Alex!!! He is a 12 month old yellow lab mix who weighs 50 lbs so won't get much bigger. Alex was rescued in the nick of time from being euthanized at a shelter and sadly we learned that his sister wasn't as lucky and was put down before we could get her out. Alex has lived the last four months of his life in foster care with young children, adult dogs, puppies & cats. He is described as having a moderate/active activity level, typical for a year old lab mix. He loves children & other dogs and is house trained. Alex can be shy at first in new situations, but has really come out of his shell since living at a vet clinic for the past three weeks and being in foster care with children prior to that. He loves to run and play and loves other dogs, so will most likely be much happier if he is in a home with another dog. If Alex is right for your home please apply for him today. We are a network of foster homes in the South and the New England area. THERE IS NO SPECIFIC SHELTER LOCATION. If you wish to meet our dogs, you must first be approved by going through our application and screening process.

Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs. All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered. Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dog's adoption fee. Also, any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the south and will prefer to "do their business" outdoors.
