Aletheia

Meet Aletheia! Her name, which mean verity and truth, describes her perfectly - she is TRULY BEAUTIFUL, both inside and out! Aletheia is German Shepherd / Golden Retriever mix, who was initially rescued from a high kill shelter in Georgia. She has lived with a young man for the last few years whose work will be taking him to live in NYC. Aletheia is used to a quiet neighborhood with other friendly dogs, and although her dad will miss her dearly, he doesn't want to subject her to the hustle and bustle of big city life. With many tears, and a breaking heart, he wrote the following about Aletheia... "She is a very sweet, loyal, and attentive companion. Some of her favorite things (in no particular order) include hikes through the woods, chasing tennis balls (and holding them in her mouth), sweet potatoes, chew toys, smelling flowers on her walks, listening to live music, parties, car rides, running free, chasing birds (especially geese), being brushed on the porch while the wind takes her hair away, a trip to the groomers, sleeping by the door, AFFECTION, and feeling useful. Aletheia is not fond of swimming, baths, when cyclists and skateboarders pass her on the street, small dogs, cats, or birds. She doesn't like waiting too long for dinner, being overcrowded, or feeling lonely. Oh, and boredom. She is very intelligent and loves having things to do/chew on throughout the day. She is a wonderful dog who is sure to provide a lot of love and companionship to her new family." Aletheia is 6 years old, weighs about 52lbs, has all of her required vaccines, and is spayed and microchipped. She's great with other dogs, but she finds that small dogs can be annoying sometimes.
