My Story

Aldous is the ultimate softie! We understand why too. He was left tied up outside the shelter but he also looked healthy and well fed and cared for. We can only imagine how traumatic that was for him so being a little hesitant of his new surroundings is understandable. Aldous would love nothing more than to spend all day with us, and we would too because he's just that gentle and loving. Aldous gives the best standing gentle hugs and loves getting up close and personal but never pushy or demanding about it. While he wasn't not too interested in treats and only mildly curious about toys, we're sure he'll grow to love both as his confidence builds. Aldous is a young pup, a little shy, and he would thrive in a home where he can continue to grow at his pace. If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate companion, Aldous is your perfect match! Came in as a stray on 6/10/24. Left tied up outside the shelter with A275647. Adoptions are walk-in 12-6 daily at 2741 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL Email [email protected] for more information. The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID. All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after decompression time is given for/to the shelter dog.
