Poor, sweet Albert is loosing his home as his owner has become very, very ill. We are hoping to find this wonderful dog a new home by the end of the month at which time his owner will be placed in a care facility where dogs are not permitted.
Albert is 9 yrs young and he gets along well with other dogs and cats. He's a big boy for a lab at 107 lbs, and because he does get excited, a home without young kids would be best. He is house-trained and would love a home with a large fenced yard. Albert needs some work at being re-socialized, as he's been confined to a small house for several years with very little exercise. Simple things like cars driving by stresses him out, so he needs a stong guardian to be firm but fair, to help him through this. While he is very sweet in nature, he is not a dog for the first time guardian. He will need daily secure off-leash exercise to help him relax and get him back into shape. He appears to have good doggie manners and likes to play with other dogs. Senior dogs are a blessing in many ways and we believe Albert has many years left to enjoy with his new family. Albert is currently residing in Coquitlam, BC and must be rehomed by Feb 28th.
