My Story

Adoption Event Schedule Events run from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM every month at these locations: 2nd Saturday, Sacramento - Pet Food Express 3rd Saturday, Modesto - PetSmart 4th Saturday, Roseville - Pet Food Express Please visit the GCGSR Rescue Page for specific address information. Adoption Fee: $300.00 This is Alannah! Alannah is a Belgian Malinois approximately a year old and weighs 62 pounds. Like most Malinois Alannah is fun, smart, and very athletic. She is a capable learner and does it quickly. Being with a very active person or family is a must for her. Someone that that likes to run, hike, swim or agility train would make Alannah a good partner. She makes great eye contact with her person and is always interested in what we're going to do next. Alannah enjoys snuggling with her person. She lives with 3 over dogs and enjoys playing with them. She has a playful but somewhat rough and tumble play style but has learned to tone it down a bit and takes correction well. Alannah enjoys going for car rides and rides well in the car. She is crate trained and sleeps quietly in her crate at night. Whatever you want to do Alannah is up for it. She is a great dog and will make someone very happy they brought her into their life. Cats and small critters unknown. Level 3 Understanding Dog Levels Please be sure you understand what a dog of this Level requires. Go to our home page for an explanation of the Dog Rating Levels. (https://www.gcgsr.org/dogs.html#levels) Additional Adoption Information For more information and to see when this dog will be attending an Adoption Day, please see our Dogs page on our main website. (https://www.gcgsr.org/adopt_info.html) We operate within a reasonable driving distance from the Greater Sacramento area, the Central Valley down to Merced, and Lake Tahoe. A reasonable driving distance is determined by where one of our volunteers is willing to drive within our areas of service. That means we don't adopt out of our area, to Southern California, or out of state. Puppy Requirements We have special Requirements for Adopting a Puppy and a separate Puppy Questionnaire that must be completed on puppies. Please see our Requirements for Adopting a Puppy (https://www.gcgsr.org/puppies.html) email us at [email protected] for more information. Thank you for visiting!
