Available for adoption or foster to adopt! Meet Akira Positives: Akira is a loving girl, who is very affectionate with her people and likes to be around other dogs. She would make a great outdoor adventure buddy, for someone who likes to go for hikes, beach walks, and potentially even runs. She has a good demeanour and friendly personality. She’s eager to please, and really enjoys her food, including little snacks. She’s a really smart girl, and we think could be trained since she’s still young. We’ve been told by her temporary fosters that she’s extremely affectionate. ? Things she needs support on: Akira is a wonderful girl, but we have noticed that she does have a prey drive. She would do best in a home without cats, small animals, and potentially livestock. The previous owner noted that she would sometimes lunge/bark at passing cars, bikes, and would bark at other dogs. She’s currently living with three other dogs and while we haven’t noticed these reactions, that’s not to say they would not happen. She will need a home that can provide her with consistent training, love, and give her time to decompress and settle in.
