Meet Akela, the charming Husky with a heart full of love and a mind brimming with curiosity! This sweet and smart boy is always up for an adventure, whether it's exploring new places or learning new tricks. His silly antics will keep you laughing, and his affectionate nature means you'll never be short on kisses. Akela is ready to be your loyal and loving companion—come meet this wonderful pup and let him steal your heart! We believe he would do well in a home with any age children. We are unsure of how Akela would do in a home with other dogs, until he can be further evaluated we recommend a dog-to-dog meet at the shelter before adoption. We don't know how he would do in a home with cats. Akela is a very sweet boy who would love nothing more than to find his place next to you on the couch. If you're looking for a goofy husky who loves his people look no further. Akela is a 4-year-old Husky, up to date on vaccines, (soon to be) neutered, and microchipped. Akela has done great on Doggy Day Outs with our volunteers. He loved getting to hike, explore, give kisses and try some pup-cups! He was described as loving, loyal, energetic, smart, curious and a good listener. Here is what our volunteers have to say about him: "Akela had a great time on his Doggy Day Out. He enjoyed going on a walk, sniffing around the park and going to PetSmart! He is good on a leash and does well ignoring other dogs." "Akela was such a sweet boy today! He was wonderful on his leash- no pulling. We saw lots of dogs today and he didn't mind them at all. He didn't bark or pull.
