My Story

We are an all-volunteer organization. Our adoption fee is $295. Please read this posting to answer most of your questions about me. I'm all up to date on vet care appropriate for my age including heartworm prevention, spay/neuter, microchip and all vaccinations and ready to be the newest member of your home! Please fill out our application an application is required in order to be considered: www.hopefurpets.com If you have any questions, please send an email to [email protected] Please read description in full before applying. AF and Marine will need to be adopted together and preferably to someone with a very secured yard. We have tons of pictures available upon request as they have been with us for 2 years. We post about them frequently on our Facebook page. They came from a 250 dog hoarding situation. Very thin, skin issues, and terrified. It took us months to gain their trust. Even after 2 years they still only trust their 2 main caregivers, but they allow other near them. Consistency is key with them. They love their crate is a safe feeling for them. They do go home a couple times with one of the caretakers. They are working on leash training, new places and sounds. They would thrive in a home with a privacy fence, but we know that may not be available for them. They are constantly looking to go elsewhere even in a space where they have been for 2 years. They have never tried to escape though just curious. Airforce loves toys! The more he can have the happier he will be. He hides them all and then wants the humans to go find them. He warms up a lot faster than Marine. Marine is very shy and depends on Airforce to help her come out of her shell. They love other dogs and play with each other well. We would be happy to answer any questions you may have. Us fur-kids deserve a second chance. Thank you for supporting rescues who help ensure we get one! And please remember to spay and neuter your pets and neighborhood strays! While I was at the shelter, I couldn't believe all of the wonderful dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens who are homeless. Take it from me, being homeless is no fun! Application is required. No member of our organization receives proceeds from our adoption fees. All dogs have past experiences, preferences and personalities. Please always consider the personality and breed tendencies of any pup that you are interested in adopting to ensure that he or she will be the perfect fit for your home, for both your sake and his! Do not select a forever companion based on looks alone. Make this home his or her home for life!
