Ahsoka

Ahsoka is a charming 4 1/2-year-old, right under 40 lbs female mixed breed who has captured our hearts with her gentle soul and hopeful spirit. When she arrived at our shelter, she was experiencing significant hair loss, but tests have ruled out mange, suggesting she may have a severe skin allergy that we have got her now on the road to recovery and her beautiful coat is now almost back. Despite her initial shyness, especially with head touches, Ahsoka quickly warms up with a pocket full of treats and a kind, patient approach. With her shyness and skin condition she was at risk of euthanizing, however we didn't give up hope and snatched her up! This sweet girl shows off commands like sit, paw, and down, often performing them eagerly for a tasty reward. She gets along famously with our helper dogs, showing a gentle and curious nature in their company. Due to her initial reserve, Ahsoka would thrive best in a home with children aged 10 and older who can respect her need for a calm environment as she builds trust. Once Ahsoka opens her heart to you, she becomes an affectionate cuddle bug and loyal companion, sticking to your side like velcro. Her resilience and capacity for love shine through despite the challenges she's faced.
