(Estimated DOB 2021, and estimated weight 17.5lbs) Happy and exuberant, this boy lives to enjoy life. He loves going outdoors and playing, exploring the sights in his yard. He is athletic and fun to be around. True to his terrier personality, he is not open to playing with dogs he does not know well. He, like many terriers, is not a dog park dog. He has dog friends but needs to know them through correct introduction. He has done well with the other dogs he has met while in our care after a proper introduction. He however should not go to a home with cats, as he finds them much too fun. He has been learning basic commands like crate up and sit while with us, and he is god on leash. He would love to be somebody's best buddy and the king of the house. Most dogs require a fenced yard. We seek fully fenced yards with a physical, visible fence. Typically, the fence must be connected to the house/ a door in the home, and the dog safe fenced area must exclude driveway and car access. Shock/electronic fences will not be approved for most dogs. A sturdy, high quality crate is also required (due to safety concerns, no wire or soft crates will be accepted. Impact, Ruffland, 4 point contact locking door Skyline, Zinger Winger, etc type crate). We will be considering homes in W. Wa and possibly Oregon, no other out of state adoptions at this time. Adoption donation is $450.00 to help cover his neuter, daily care, vetting, etc. THIS DOG IS IN FOSTER CARE IN POULSBO, WA. MEET AND GREETS WILL TAKE PLACE THERE AS WELL. For the safety of children and dogs and limited information on dog the dogs interaction with children- R.E.D generally prefers/requires children in adoptive home to be approximately 5 or 6 years of age and up unless otherwise noted in the dog profile. All children must be behavior appropriate with animals. (4) R.E.D. does not a ship animals to out of state adopters.
