My Story

Acorn was found with her two hound pals running the HUA property one Sunday morning. These nutty hound dogs had a most wonderful time playing chase with the caregivers for over three hours. Acorn was the first to give up when she ran to the farmhouse on campus to play with the family who lives there. She flopped onto her back and begged for some belly rubs from the kids who thought she was just charming. She is super friendly and adores people- her whole body wiggles with delight when approached by them. Acorn is a smart girl who never turns down a treat unless she is offered a plain old biscuit when she knows there is jerky near by. She loves her toys and has the best time chasing them and throwing them high into the air. Acorn gets along well with other dogs as long as they can tolerate her energetic nature–she is vocal at times and this can annoy a sensitive dog. She currently lives with another Coonhound who finds her to be fantastic. This goofy girl can climb fences like there is no tomorrow so she will need a tall fence to keep her safe at home.
