ABE

Hi! My name is Abe and I am available for adoption. I was brought in by a good samaritan on June 16, 2024, but I was orginally found a couple of weeks prior when I showed up at their gate. They mention that I was good in the home, but the other dogs were not too fond of me and I did show some signs of separation anxiety and can jump a fence if left alone. I weigh 59.0 lbs and am considered a large breed dog. I love treats and toys and will happily sit for them. I am lean and very strong! I am looking for a family that can handle me on leash and continue to work with me on my leash manners. I have shown some reactivity while in the shelter, but when I am alone with my caregivers I am truly the sweetest and just want to play or cuddle :) Due to my strength and energy level I would do best in a home without younger children. I tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy. I am a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality! I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a family who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be!
