My Story
Abby is a dream dog! And such a pretty girl! Despite her age of ten, Abby is extremely obedient and full of energy! She loves playing tennis and going for jogs and walks in the country. Her obedience skills are amazing: she knows sit, come, down, roll-over, forward, back, heel, find it!, bring it (ball or frisbee), where is frisbee, shake-a-paw, up, off, touch, fetch, and beg. She probably knows more, I just haven't discovered them all!
As a city dog, Abby has now discovered country living. She has enjoyed country walks in hay fields, swimming in the horse water hole, hanging out with horses, and bonfires! She has also had the opportunity to discover the taste of elk, deer, pork, eggs and tuna! She loves coconut oil being put on all over her fur. I wonder if her city days are behind her?
Abby is fully house trained and will let you know when she has to go outside. She sleeps through the night, and will sleep right beside you if you let her.
Some challenges Abby faces is separation anxiety when left alone, and I discovered she does not like bikes or skateboards. Abby does well when off-leash but I definitely have to be mindful if there are bikes or skateboards around. She does have some challenges with grooming and nails, so a gentle approach is a must. A slow introduction to unfamiliar dogs is also needed.
