Detroit Animal Care and Control is located at 7401 Chrysler Dr. Detroit, MI 48211. We are open seven days a week from 10:30am to 3:30pm. Adoptions are same-day at the shelter, though we do have some animals in foster that are available as well. Adopters must be 18+ with a valid ID.
Most of our dogs and cats come to us as stray animals so we do not have a complete health or behavior history on them. Their ages are approximate. We recommend slow introductions to new people, places, and other animals after a period of decompression.
We have 20-50 dogs available for adoption on any given day. They move too quickly in and out of the shelter for us to list them on Petfinder, but we have a facebook group at www.facebook.com/groups/daccadoptables with some of our animals listed. The best way to see our adoptable animals is to come to DACC!
