4/16/07 public adoption 4/13/07 HELP--I am on the list to be euthanized unless adopted by COB Monday, 4/16/07. The shelter is open Saturday (4/14) for adoptions. Tara's fee is only $20 since she is already spayed. 4/12/07 Tara has been here for 3 days now and is not comfortable inside the kennels yet. She is very timid and very scared. She is being listed as a "Special Needs" dog because of her timidness here at the shelter. In spite of what her owners thought she was, you can see from the pictures she is not a Lab mix - but a Black Shepherd! Tara moves well on a leash and that is what she will need to bond with her next human. When standing, she can be slowly coaxed to come to a kind hand, but she is just so worried, picture 3 here shows her poor worried face. Tara has a lovely coat - her coat reminds us of a silver-back gorilla as it is silver tipped on black. When she is outside you can see what a beautiful coat she has. When Tara gets rehomed, she will need some quiet time - she will need to get to know you on HER time. She needs someone that will not push her to fast, someone willing to let her come out of her shell. Underneath that worried face is an absolutely beautiful girl that can fulfill someone's desire to have a true friend. She is also housebroken and spayed. 4/10/07 The shelter is open this Saturday for adoptions from 10am to 4pm. Come and see me and my friends who are also up for adoption. 4/9/07 Tara is a 5 years old lab mix who's owner is moving and cannot take her. She was brought to the shelter with a companaion (07-0370B- a husky mix) She is available immediately. THIS ANIMAL IS NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL 2007. FURTHERMORE, IF THIS ANIMAL IS REUNITED WITH AN OWNER OR IF THE ANIMAL BECOMES SICK, THIS ANIMAL WILL NOT BE PLACED INTO THE ADOPTION ROOM. IF YOU ARE TRAVELING FROM A DISTANCE, PLEASE CALL FIRST.
