Elton is an 8-year-old 55 lbs. hound mix who has it all! He is a really good boy who is housetrained, walks well on a leash, loves car rides, is crate-trained, and is NOT a barker. This personable, friendly fellow loves people and is, always ready with a wagging tail and warm, welcoming eyes. His gentleness is evident in his mellow demeanor, never rushing, always taking life at a comfortable pace. Elton is smart and loyal, which makes him a joy to be around. He's also dog-friendly and likely to be good with older kids, making him a perfect family pet. We have no history of him with cats so if you have one, the shelter can discuss proper introductions to you. His cuddliness is a bonus; he is always ready for a snuggle session. This extra-sweet canine companion deserves a forever home where he can continue to share his love and loyalty. His ideal home would be one that would keep any human food out of his reach!
