This boy is a character. His purr fills a room and is near constant. He loves to be held, kissed, cuddled, and pet. He's our boneless boy. When you go to pick him up and pet him he just becomes a limp noodle in your hands. He also likes to present his rotund belly to everyone, and it is a delight to pet that chonky belly. I think he's proud of the belly he's created since he's been here. Sometimes Ziggy likes to burrow into blankets or your shirt, it was something he did a lot for comfort when he first arrived. Ziggy was very scared and not comfortable with people when he came here at about 10 weeks old. He would hide as deep in his blankets as he could and freeze when we picked him up. One day it was like a switch flipped and he just started purring so loudly while he was being held and he's never looked back. This boy is very people oriented and is going to be a sweet lap kitty. He can still be a little jumpy with noises and new people, but warms up pretty quickly. He's becoming more and more confident as time goes on. Ziggy is very bonded to the kitten he came in with, Starman. We don't know if they're actually siblings, but they love each other. Ziggy and Starman came from a mobile home park in Greeley, where they were trapped with 20 other kittens and their mamas. Ziggy really shows Starman how to be trusting of people. Ziggy needs a home that will allow him to come out of his shell on his own time, but once he does the reward is HUGE. If you're looking for a big baby of an orange cat, then Ziggy Stardust is your man. Oh little Starman. Starboy. Starsky. Goopy boy. Stinks. Little Star. This boy is VERY smart. He's come a long way since he first got here! His suspicion and distrust of people was very high and it's taken a lot of time to show him that he can trust people. Starman is still not a huge fan of being held, but when you pick him up he goes boneless and just sort of resigns himself to it. He recently has made a huge step forward, he now lets me walk up to him and pet him. I even heard a purr from him for the first time when I pet him. He will play and eat and hang out with me, and let me pet him on his own terms. Starman was living in a mobile home park and was trapped with 20 other kittens and their mamas. He was handled by the woman who was caring for them, but is still learning how to fully trust people. This little guy needs a calm home with his best friend Ziggy so that he can continue to come out of his shell. He truly is a sweet angel baby, and when you earn his trust and get to love on him it's magical. He has the most beautiful eyes, they're very unique in their coloring. When I say he's smart I mean it. He figured out all our tricks easily and quickly, and is incredibly observant. Starman and Ziggy are an amazing pair, they balance each other so well. Starman would do best in a home where he is given time and patience as he becomes braver and more confident. Ziggy and Starman are the sweetest pair who will make the best and cutest companions.
