Our rescues mean a lot to the vet staff and DunRoamin' volunteers. We do everything we can to find the perfect homes for these pets, who are being given a second chance at a happy life. The application process requires pre-adoption applications, references, and interviews with you and those listed on your application in order to ensure a successful placement. Zigg and her sister Zagg (black and white) came to DunRoamin' on June 11, 2024 from the Lansdowne area where they had been found under a hosta bush. A search for others revealed no siblings or mother. Both kittens were covered with ticks all over their bodies.
Zigg and Zagg were born about April 25, 2024, so were about seven weeks old - luckily able to eat on their own at this point. They are skinny, have worms and an upper respiratory infection, but thanks to their new vet friend at the Floreneville Veterinary Clinic, they are receiving all the medical assistance they require. They are eating Royal Canin Kitten Food, will be spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites. Then, they are hoping to be chosen as new members of a nice family. They hope to be adopted together - they have survived together this long and are very close to each other. Zigg has medium hair while Zagg is short-haired. Zigg is very easy-going and friendly, so Zagg, who is a little less confident right now, takes her cues from Zigg - they definitely belong together.
