My Story

You'll never meet a more appreciative cat. Zephyr was found co-mingling with an outdoor cat colony. He had open sores all over his body, so his capture became priority. Once caught, it was found that Zephyr was already neutered! He was treated for ringworm, but the open sores remained. Skin biopsy helped us learn that Zephyr has feline eosinophilic granuloma complex or EGC. Zephyr has had a long road of recovery, including a dental surgery that resulted in multiple teeth being removed due to stomatitis, but he is doing remarkably well and is ready to find a devoted home of his own. Zephyr is cat selective, but is peacefully coexisting with 5 other felines in his foster home. Zephyr is also indifferent about the dogs in the home. Zephyr LOVES to cuddle. He will lay with you on the couch, in your favorite recliner and cuddle up with you at bedtime. He is completely devoted to his humans and never misses and opportunity to show his appreciation for a loving indoor home. Zephyr will need regular routine veterinary care along with occasional extra care when his skin flares up. He will be starting a new daily medication to see if it can better him control his skin lesions. Zephyr is otherwise happy, comfortable and hoping somewhere out there, there is a human ready to spoil him for the rest of his life.
