My Story
Meet Zane! He is a two month old, 3lb domestic shorthair who might seem a little shy at first, but give him a few hours and he'll become very friendly!
Zane has a special way of greeting you with his eyes, as if he's silently asking, "How are you? Is everything okay? If not, don't worry. Just pet me, and you'll feel better. He loves being petted and often curls up to sleep on your lap.
A perfect day for Zane includes running around and playing with his favorite toys-small balls, his own tail, or anything that moves. He's playful but also has a gentle side. Even though he's the stronger one, he lets his smaller brother, Mick, win when they play together. He's independent but also very sociable, always coming over to say hello and sit with you.
Zane's superpowers include being incredibly friendly, enjoying lap time, and having a mix of playful energy and calm affection, making him a perfect companion. He's looking for a forever home where he can share his love and endless purrs with his new family!
Zane is currently being fostered in New Haven, CT. His adoption fee is $150.
Kittens are only adopted in pairs or to homes with other friendly, social pets. They are very social by nature and need to be with other pets for their socialization.
The adoption fee for a single kitten is $150, a pair of kittens is $200

All of our cats come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, dewormed, combo tested, microchipped, up to date on flea and tick preventative, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the pet you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
