My Story

Zahara is a 9 year old gal who's half bengal, half tabby. She came to Front Range agreed on Rescue with her very best bengal friend, Meeko. They're a bonded pair and spend their days snuggling and giving each other kisses and it's important to them to stay together. She spent her full 9 years living with a loving family, but a household member unfortunately developed severe allergies that were unable to be mitigated, so she ended up in foster care. It took her a few days to feel safe in her foster home, but as soon as she did, she was all about the cuddles! She doesn't mind playing, but seems to be well past her bouncy kitten energy and really prefers to nap and snuggle all day. She spends her nights snuggled in bed with one of her foster humans and is content to be snuggled and purr all night long. She's happy and healthy, and while she's no spring chicken, don't let her age put you off. She has many, many wonderful years ahead of her that she'd love to share with a loving family. She is slow to warm up to new cats and doesn't love dogs, but with a patient, structured, slow paced introduction (likely over weeks, not days), she could be happily integrated into a home with other pets and thrive with new furry companions. She is truly the perfect lap cat. If you're looking for someone mellow and very affectionate, then you've met your match! Litter box trained, WONDERFUL with both young kids and adults, tolerant of other animals, a little bit of a picky eater.
