Yuka

My foster writes: Yuka is a sweet, playful, energetic young cat. She a bit hesitant to trust new people but once she warms up to you she will be stuck to you like glue, following you around and begging for cuddles. Yuka is talkative but soft spoken. She loves to climb and to explore her surroundings, including sitting and gazing out the window and finding small nooks to borrow in. As is typical of young cat, she naps for a good portion of the day and her energy levels spike at night, so she would be fine with an owner who works outside of the home. The ideal home would be relatively quiet with limited visitors as loud noises and visitors tend to send her running. Yuka would also do well as an only pet as she likes to be the center of attention. I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am. Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy! I have been known to shower my favorite people in love! What my friends at ACC say about me: Yuka tolerates attention and petting but appears to be moderately fearful or stressed in the shelter. She will likely need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that she go to a home with some cat experience preferred or at least be well counseled in fearful cat behavior.
