My Story

Yoshi came right up to me, talking up a storm. He was clearly expressing his dismay that he somehow ended up homeless and was hoping for my assistance to rectify the situation. He was happy to be scooped up and taken to safety. We don't know what his name was before, but he sure did learn his new name quickly. He is one of the few kitties who come running when you call his name, and he lets you know he's coming as fast as he can. Check out the video. Yoshi loves his meals but he would gladly pass on food for some pets and loving. He rolls around happily for pets. Even tummy rubs are good. He likes to snuggle, sitting on your tummy is fun. Yoshi is a young man who has potential to live with another kitty. He plays with another foster kitty underneath doors and through a kitty playpen. We're planning more play time with the two. We have videos we can share. As for dogs – after he got used to them, he is doing well. He doesn’t want to snuggle or play with them but is OK with them in the room. Yoshi occasionally does that kitty nibble thing and while it's gentle, it might startle a young child. He is very polite when it comes to nail clipping. Yoshi tested negative for FIV/FELV. He is 1 -2 years old, fixed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and weighs about 9 - 10 pounds, a small guy. He consistently uses his litter box so no worries there. We have lots of videos and photos we can share - just ask! Please note: You must be at least 25 years old to adopt. The adopter must agree to a screening process that includes an easy application, phone call, and an adoption agreement. Our goal is to find the best match for our dogs & cats and their new families, so that everyone lives happily ever after. Yoshi is being fostered in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Post adoption, we are here if you have questions. Of course, we hope everything works out, but we understand that sometimes the cat may not be a good fit. We will support you through any decision to return your pet to us if it doesn't work out, and will take them back into our foster program - no worries.
