Name: Yeti Age: 8 years Breed: Domestic short hair Reason for being at the shelter: Description: Yeti tucks herself far inside her cat bed and tries to camouflage herself so you can’t see her. She may peek her head up just above the upper edge to see if you are still with her but then quickly submerges her head back down into the covers. She is too shy to come out and meet you so you have to meet her on her terms which means submerging your hand into her cat bed haven to find her. Spend time petting her and you begin to hear a faint purr and she will raise her butt when you stroke over her entire body. Yeti’s fur is silky and smooth and she really likes being petted. Her shyness makes it difficult to snap a good photo of her but we’ll keep trying. Yeti is a small and petite kitty. Come out and meet her for yourself and speak positive affirmations to encourage her to become brave. Yeti needs a patient adopter and one who will continue to work with her to bring her out of her shell. All potential adopters must fill out an adoption application prior to setting up an appointment to meet the animal.
