Yawoong-ee (AKA Meow)

Meet Yawoong-ee, also known as Meow! This handsome guy has a curious spirit and a touch of shyness. He adores his personal space and prefers gentle human interaction on his terms. Meow is cautious with strangers at first, but given time, he warms up and reveals his affectionate side. Meow has experience living with children and enjoys their company. At night, he becomes a lively explorer, ready to play and discover. Meow is searching for a patient and loving home where he can continue to thrive. Yawoong-ee has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Yawoong-ee can be adopted as a solo cat, or live with other cats (FIV+ is recommended, though living with FIV- cats can be done); this is up to the adopter. If the adopter has any questions about bringing an FIV+ cat into their home, we recommend they speak with their veterinarian. Thanks to our nonprofit fundraising partner, the Friends of the Fairfax County Animal Shelter, families who adopt a senior pet during the "Vintage Tails" adoption event will receive a $500 credit to use at Pender Veterinary Centre for bloodwork or other veterinary services. If you'd like to meet our available pets, please check the "shelter information" box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
