Meet Yasu! Yasu is a wise gentlemen, estimated to be about 7 years old. Just look at that face! Yasu loves his quiet time and likes to spend it lying on windowsills or snuggled up on the cat tree. He loves pats and chin scratches and will reward you with a loud purr. Once Yasu bonds with you, he would love to soak up all of the attention you can give him and he will give it right back. But his not overly pushy about getting attention and is a chill and laid back cat. Check out the video of him posted in our Facebook on 2/25/24.
Yasu is timid at first with new people and would need a quiet home that is willing to give him a little time to adjust. He has a mellow and gentle personality. He does fine with other cats and integrates easily.
Yasu has tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). Most cats with this virus live long, healthy lives. This virus is not contagious to humans or other animals, including cats. It is only spread to other cats through deep bite wounds (drawing and ingesting blood). Since this virus affects the immune system, it is important to stay on top of preventative care: regular veterinary exams and a healthy diet.
