Greetings humans, I sense you looking at me. How could you resist, I am the great XANDER, distinguished with my long white whiskers. Truly I was meant for this VIP life called The Indoors. Too scary living Outside as a stray in Mountain, and I thank the rescue for taking me in. Outdoors vs Indoors, where do I start? Dressed always for dinner in a tux, there is FOOD, oh joy! Delicious and now it comes regularly. Dry and crunchy, or wet and meaty? It exists and I will loudly give praise! Some times, my foster offers treats in exchange for “UP” or “high 5” or “shake paw” … OK perhaps I can be handsy and “sitting pretty” can be difficult, but churus and temptations are sooosoooo yummy. Curious, I have the wisdom and street-smarts of one much older yet the energy of youth. Hanging out with my foster family, I have met many new feline friends. Granted, some foster siblings hissed at me in the beginning so I politely backed up as they requested. Now we are friends, close enough for a quick cuddle & groom. Sudden or loud noises scare me, unsure of children or dogs .. they were not nice to strays so I kept my distance Outside. The Inside has things called reflections that are scary, another handsome tuxedo cat always seems to be watching me. Maybe we can become friends soon. At first, all toys scared me but I am learning from the others how “play” can be fun. Now, my favourite toys by far are humans! I do so enjoy a good lap for napping or making biscuits. They pet me using hands and nails and slicker brushes, divine!! OK perhaps I can be handsy .. it’s intoxicating this affection and I just want more! More! MORE!! Besides humans do interesting things so I follow them around. Perhaps treats .. sometimes I will come when called, definitely when the food drawer is opened.
