Thanks to a generous donation from the Andy and Connie Ziemelis Charitable Fund, Wren's adoption fee has been sponsored by the Home Sweet Home Program!
Wren is an 11 month old neutered male. He is current on his vaccinations, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative!
Meet Wren! Wren came into the shelter with one of his brothers as a very shy and unsure little man who has already begun to make strides with his socialization skills. While he may need some time to adjust in a new home along with his own ‘safe’ space and a bit of patience and understanding, the wait will be well worth it once you start to see him blossom into the sweet little guy he truly is. He is still a bit unsure about full-on snuggles but he does easily allow gentle pets after he gets to know you a bit. Once he is comfortable with his surroundings, he is just like any other typical kitten who has lots of energy and enjoys spending his days exploring his surroundings, chasing around his toys, jumping up on anything high to get a good look at everything happening around him, and rough housing with his brother. And in no time, we’re sure you will find him crawling into your lap for some extra-special snuggle time.
Since Wren is a shy guy who is still working on his socialization and startles easily from fast movements and loud noises, he is looking for a bit of a calmer and quieter home. So, he would prefer a family with slightly older and respectful children at least 12 years of age or older who won’t chase or scare him. He may do ok with calmer dogs too, given slow and proper introductions to one another as well as the home in general. Like most kittens who are timid, Wren is much more confident, outgoing, and relaxed when he has another buddy right by his side, so he is required to go to a home with another cat.
