Seven months ago, old gal Winnie was found on the city streets starving, dehydrated, and struggling to walk, but even then, she was very brave and trusting of people. She walked straight into the arms of her rescuer, and she's been recovering and learning how great family life can be ever since!
Winnie is a 10-year-old girl who doesn't cause a fuss, and likes a peaceful life. She's a big fan of treats and warm spots to relax.
At first glance it may seem like she's glaring at you, but that's just her face -- the Resting Winnie Face. She's actually a very affectionate old lady! Winnie is welcoming of attention and has a scratchy meow and squeak to accompany her.
She enjoys laying on her foster parents chests, staring lovingly into their eyes, and feeling their warm breath on her face. She's a big fan of head scratches and forehead kisses.
When you think of Winnie, think cuddle bug.
At her age, she's not a fast moving kitty and has a little hobble until her joints get warmed up, but when she's feeling energetic, she will follow her human around chatting away. For fun, she enjoys rolling in catnip and trying to destroy an unravelled, silver Christmas bow.
Winnie does have Stage 1 Kidney Disease which is currently managed by diet.
Winnie would do great in a calm environment. She could be the only kitty, or she could go to a home with older pets that don't expect much from her.
Winnie has all the love and affection to give to her family. She wants a peaceful place to spend the rest of her time and she deserves it!
Winnie is FIV/FELV negative, UTD on vaccines, spayed and microchipped.
