WILMA & WINNIE MOTHER & DAUGHTER WILMA & WINNIE were Cats living outside in a Mississauga backyard. They were trapped by the homeowners who took them to Mississauga Animal Services. MAS spayed them both and we believe due to them being scared Cats they were released back outside. They then lived mainly under the Deck and would wander in the Hydro Field behind. Last year we were contacted by the residents and asked if we could help with the two Cats since they had to move to medically support ailing parents. They said none of the neighbours nor the new owners wanted to feed or monitor the Cats and were unable to find anyone else to help. We felt terrible for the Cats and the new owners allowed us access to trap the Cats. We were told that Winnie the daughter was very protective of her Mom and both were mostly always together. We trapped them and found out that Momma is a bit obese and quite scared still and about 9 Yrs old now. Winnie her daughter who is about 7 years old is also shy, but a bit more comfortable now. We are trying to find a Long Term Foster or Adoptive Family to help these two girls continue to enjoy life indoors and work hard on socializing them. They are both pretty shy but getting more used to people.
