My Story

Name: Willow Age: Approx 6-8 yrs. Gender: Male Weight: Approx 15-16 lbs. Adoption Fee: $80 Willow's story is kind of sad and brought tears to my eyes when I first learned where he came from. Willow and his friend (Winslow) were surrendered from a drug house in Wilkesboro, NC. Their owner passed away but they were neglected and mistreated so much that when I took them in they were both severely matted, dirty, emaciated, had fleas, skin rashes. Willow's eyes had liquid discharge coming out of them and he kept them closed a lot cause he couldn't see anything. I've attached a few before pictures of when I got him. He was brought to me on May 6th and I've had him in my care for about 6 weeks now. I took him to the vet right away and he was treated given a physical exam and properly medicated. Willow has been slowly healing and the day he started opening his eyes a bit more, I could see a sparkle coming out of his eyes. Willow has a calm and brave demeanor about him. I would guess he's more of the top cat of his colony and doesn't mind telling other cats to leave him alone. Lol. He would do best in a household as the only cat. I don't know how he is with dogs. He loves the string toy and has a playful personality. He was so weak when I first got him but it's been really nice seeing his energy more uplifted and not feeling like he's in pain all the time. Willow enjoys a big cat tree and some scratching posts. He definitely loves food and is very food motivated. Like his friend Willow..always part of the clean plate club. :) Willow is neutered, vaccinated and tested negative for FELV. Unfortunately, he tested positive for FIV. Which is another reason why he would do best as the only cat. FIV has a negative stigma when used. Cats with FIV can live just as long as normal cats as long as their well cared for. All paperwork will be provided at time of adoption. I require a professional reference, and if you have or had any current pet/s, I will need to see their paperwork. Willow is so deserving af a good home with love and affection. He will not be adopted to just anyone, I want to make sure it's a good fit for Willow and his potential adopter/s. If you'd like to learn more about Willow contact me and let's help find him a sweet, loving home. Whoever gets Willow will be very lucky.
