Wild Wilmer

The story of a very timid kitty named "Wild Wilmer". Wilmer came to us as a stray, completely shut down and extremely fearful. He was not doing well in the shelter and it was his good fortune that a foster family was located for him. Wilmer had a rocky start with his family, not eating and continuing to hide in his "cubby hole kitty house" for a couple days. Slowly his foster mom was able to pet him and give him chin scratches which Wilmer seemed to enjoy. This action slowly turned into Wilmer really loving and wanting more attention. The foster would pet for a bit and retreat creating the desire for more in Wilmer, he came out of his cubby asking for more pets! With continued patience and lots of love Wilmer has blossomed into a loving, purring attention hog! He seems to want all the love he can get. It has taken him awhile to trust people but he's now trusting, loving and ready for a home of his own!! Wilmer gets along with other cats and enjoys hanging out with kittens in our interactive room!
