My Story

Weatherby Grumbles, Esq. is a fancy name for a cat with humble beginnings. Grumbles was trapped at a farm where our rescue is working to help control the feral cat population. We get them all fixed up and sterilized, then bring them back home to live out the rest of their lives sans baby-making. Most of them want absolutely nothing to do with people. But some have a little special something, like Grumbles. It's been a few months since Grumbles moved inside a house. He's learned all sorts of things that we take for granted, such as the sounds of the dishwasher don't mean a big scary monster is coming to eat him. He uses the scratching posts very well. Grumbles appreciates having some good hidey hole options to retreat to, and doesn't much care for the boisterous dogs he shares his foster home with. A bit too much for him. He does absolutely adore his fellow kitty friends. They are always snuggling, grooming each other, or wrassling. He will take people pets from time to time, on his terms, because hands are still a bit intimidating. He's kind of like the budget version of a bougie peacock; you appreciate his good looks with your eyes. From a distance. And he does grumble. After all, he has that big, fancy name to live up to.
