My Story

Walter - 22960 - Black/White Age - Adult These cats are currently part of Cedar Bend Humane Society’s barn cat program! While this kitty doesn’t fit the normal criteria of an adoptable house pet, he/she would love to help with pest control on your acreage or farm! This cat prefers a life where he/she can free roam and protect your property from unwelcome pests. He/she is not the lap cat type and would like the humans to understand that he/she is serious about their job, but may welcome a head scratch now and then, but on their terms only. Adoptable barn cats will have the following completed: -Spay or Neuter -Up to date on FVRCP (distemper) & rabies vaccinations -Ear tip present on left ear -Initial health check/examination & appear to be healthy. Interested adopters are encouraged to submit a barn cat adoption application prior to stopping by. https://www.cedarbendhumane.org/docs/default-source/lost-and-found-forms/barn-cat-application-request-web.pdf?sfvrsn=9ef7cc39_4 For more information on Cedar Bend Humane Society's barn cat program please call 319-232-6887 or email [email protected]
