Meow there, my name is Walter and I am a chatty 3 year old happy boy who is ready for my next adventure in life! I love to explore all the fun things in your home, and never say no to a good catnip mousey to bring out my inner tiger! My other hobbies include bird watching from my cat condo, trying to master my food puzzle, and getting closer to my goal of catching that feather wand that keeps flying by me! You may remember when I arrived to Ten Lives after having emergency surgery. Thanks to the support of so many wonderful people, I am thriving after my surgery where I lost about 50% of my colon. You can now find me supervising the bird feeder on the window, snuggling with my person, or simply doing my rounds around the house to keep an eye on things and make sure nothing has changed from 5 minutes ago. A home that can give me lots of love and attention is all I could ever want. But I still enjoy some mischief, so please house-proof and make sure sweet temptations, like string, are nowhere in sight. About Ten Lives: Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered.We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.
