Walden

Meet Walden! He is a beautiful black kitty with the shiniest coat. He has been in his foster home since he was 4 months old. He’s approx 1 1/2 years old. He came to Merlin’s as an older kitten who did not have a lot of human interaction other than being fed daily outside. He is still SO shy, which unfortunately may make him less desirable or less likely to be adopted. He won’t come to you unless it’s time to eat, and if you go over to him he will usually walk/run the opposite way. Once he gets to know you & at feeding time, he will start loving on you and he really enjoys it. He rubs up on everything, his absolute favorite is butt and ear scratches. He also likes to nip at your ankles when he’s hungry. He is still young and he has so much personality to grow into by living in a loving & patient home. He needs someone who doesn’t have a busy household, but instead a calm quiet household. Someone who will let him settle in on his own terms and give him the time and attention he needs! You need to give him his own space but also make him let you love on him. I know he will become a very affectionate loving cat!! He loves the other kitties here so he would probably do best in a household with another cat. He’s definitely very playful, and very vocal especially when he’s hungry. He also loves to do Zoomies. He has been around calm older dogs, and I think he would do okay with an older dog who may not care or bother too much. Can you give Walden his happily ever after? ?. I believe the right home will eventually come along. Even the toughest to love eventually find that perfect person that will break through and find that loving kitty. ?
